Puppies

If you are interested in a puppy from Notta Bear Newfoundlands please take some time to learn about our process outlined below.

We do not send out or accept applications until puppies are approximately 4-6 weeks. This is posted on our personal Facebook page when we are ready.

  • Notta Bear Newfoundlands does not have a wait list or a deposit system.
  • We do not place our puppies on a “first come, first serve” basis, we match our puppies with the best possible home for the puppy and the family.
  • We do not take deposits for future puppies or to hold a certain puppy.
  • Questionnaires are not released until the litter is 4-6 weeks old. We do not release before this time. We will post on our personal Facebook pages when we are ready to accept applications
  • The questionnaire is ONLY for those interested in a puppy from the current litter on the ground, we do not hold questionnaires for future.
  • You must be friends with Becky and/or Bethany on Facebook to receive the application. When requesting friendship, you must send a message or your application will not be accepted.
  • When the puppies are 8 weeks old they will go to their first veterinary visit and get a complete exam and their first vaccines, a microchip, and deworming.
  • At 8 weeks every puppy will also visit a certified canine cardiologist and have their heart cleared by auscultation.
  • After all of these appointments the puppies will be placed with their best possible home. Notta Bear Newfoundlands and/or a potential sire owner will pick the keeper puppies, then potential show puppies will be placed, then potential working puppies, then pet puppies.

We post daily photos and videos, as well as do live videos of the puppies from birth. These can be viewed by being “friends” with us on Facebook.

All selected families are required to own a high velocity dog dryer; we highly recommend the K9III. We do not place puppies in hot & humid environments such as but not limited to Texas, Florida, Arizona, and Nevada. We do not place puppies in kennel situations.
